Cross-border cooperation
The Clean Baltic Sea projects aim to combine both public and private sector expertise and resources in the best possible way to benefit the marine environment. In the projects, cooperation between various partners takes place, for example, with regard to financing, planning and technical implementation. Leading Finnish expertise is utilised to find the most significant projects for the condition of the Baltic Sea.
The Foundation also keeps in touch and cooperates with other NGOs involved in the preservation of the Baltic Sea. In addition, the Foundation is regularly in contact with key political bodies. Tarja Halonen, President of Finland, has been a patron of the Foundation’s projects since 2006.
