Clean Sea project advisory group
An advisory group for the Clean Sea projects was established in 2010. The chairman of the group is Veli Sundbäck, member of the John Nurminen Foundation Board. Team members are Jaakko Henttonen, Manager at the Northern Dimension Environmental Partnership NDEP, Lea Kauppi, Director General at the Finnish Environment institute, Baltic Sea Ambassador Timo Rajakangas from the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary General Liisa Rohweder from WWF Finland, Timo Tanninen, Director General from the Finnish Ministry of the Environment, CEO Johnny Åkerholm from the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) and Director Emeritus Juhani Lönnroth.
“When it comes to environment, we Finns together with the neighbouring countries feel and share a special concern and a strong sense of responsibility about the future of the Baltic Sea. For my own part, I will do my very best to progress international co-operation to protect the Baltic Sea.”
